Track Incentive program crosses the border for the Harbour City Nationals
The ABA is pleased to continue an exciting awards program for ABA tracks to promote the Harbour City Nationals at Nanaimo BMX in Nanaimo, BC. In an effort to assist local tracks as well as increase ridership at the Harbour City Nationals, $500 will be awarded to the top BC mainland track as well as the top track from the USA in attendance for the weekend.
The Harbour City National will take place July 16-18 at the Nanaimo BMX track. ABA C.E.O. Bernard Anderson had this to say, “We are excited to offer this financial incentive to our tracks. We are always pleased to offer rewards to our membership and our tracks. As I have said before, there are no better organizations to reward for their efforts than ABA tracks. Simply by promoting a national in their area, two ABA tracks can win $500. This is a great program to promote the event and an even better program for local ABA tracks!”
The Howard Johnson Harbourside Hotel has been supporting Nanaimo BMX for 15 years and is the host hotel for the event. The rate is $89 per night and reservations can be made by calling (800) 663-6522
In addition to the incentives being offered to tracks, Nanaimo BMX has added $2,000 to the pro purse. This $2,000 will be split over the two days of pro racing between the men and the women. Nanaimo BMX features paved corners, on-site camping, hot water, bathrooms, concessions, bleachers, and EZ-up space. There will be free parking for the event and Saturday will be the “Famous BC Salmon BBQ with a live band and fun things for the kids.
